For almost 30 years, I’ve been honing my craft behind the lens, but during the crazy period that was the Covid lockdown I decided to really focus on what truly excites me: capturing the raw energy and emotion of live performances. Music and live performances have been the soundtrack to my life, and almost every memory I have is accompanied by a song or performance. From developing a love for Motown and Soul music aged 11 thanks to my Auntie and older cousin sharing their record collections with me, to feeling an incredible sense of warmth and love watching my dad laugh so hard he’d cry at a Billy Connolly joke I was far too young to understand (and I’d give anything to able to hear that laughter again). These are some of the reasons why I’m dedicated to using my photography to tell the stories of the artists who create those unforgettable moments. Who entertain us, educate us, move us, and bring us closer together in these challenging, often divisive times.

I specialize in live performance, music, and event photography, offering everything from intimate band shoots to high-energy stage and theatre performance photography. Whether it’s a grassroots act or an established performer, my mission is to help musicians, dancers, and stage artists showcase their work in a way that feels authentic and impactful. More than ever, we need to celebrate and promote our creative community and I’m here for it in every sense.

I’m based in West Lothian, perfectly placed between Edinburgh, Fife, and Glasgow, but I’m always up for a road trip to document performances far and wide. I’m a one-person show, so when you work with me, you’re working directly with the person who’s capturing your story—no middle person, just a passionate photographer who truly cares about what you do.

At Red Ledger, I strive to create a safe, supportive space for everyone. I’m proud to be an ally to the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, and I live my life by the belief that we should be excellent to each other, no matter who we are.
